Dear OPC member,

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer. I am writing to update you on OPC and to remind members of several activities that have been organized to meet the needs of OPC.

Photonics North 2005 will be held in Toronto with the hosting cluster being OPTIC under the umbrella of CPC.

I look forward to seeing you at PN05 and the associated events and functions. Get out there and network, make those strategic connections and prosper!

Mike Davies

  • New OPC Chair: Mike Scott

I (Mike Davies) am acting as Interim Chair of OPC until late September when Mike Scott, formerly of Nortel and Bookham, will become our new Chair. Ray Novokowsky resigned in the Spring after several years of being our “Ambassador of Light” to concentrate on his new venture EcoVu. I’m sure you will join me in wishing Ray every success in his new endeavour.

Over the summer Mike will be consulting our members and other key stakeholders to gather opinions on the future of OPC. He can be contacted at mgs1@bookham.com
